History of Multistar

Chien Chang was established in 1963 and specialized in manufacturing voice coils, speakers, and radio-related products. Multistar factory was established in 1976 at Chung Ho Dist. of Taipei.

 

In 1978, Multistar imported its first SMT machine from Japan and began producing electronic products such as TV recorders, speaker selectors, and CD adapters for car use.

 

In 2005, in order to become more competitive in the market, Chien Chang and Multistar merged. The newly unified Multistar factory adopted a large quantity of machinery in its production lines to focus primarily on speaker-related products.

 

 

Multistar was founded in 1976 and was the first introduced the JIS quality control procedure originally from Japan into its operations, becoming the first native factory with the so-called "Free Flow" automatic production line. Multistar was recognized as one of the best factories for excellence in quality control in 1985. It achieved ISO-9001 certification in 1995. Chien Chang's entire operations were officially transferred to Multistar in 2005.

 

In 2013, Multistar celebrated its 50th anniversary and continued to provide strong and reliable service to its global customers. In 2015, the company earned ISO 14001 certification, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable environmental development.

 

By 2023, Multistar proudly marked its 60th anniversary, with its product applications having expanded to include global international airport, railway systems, marine vessels, and public transportation areas. The company continues to grow and improve in close collaboration with its customers.

 

 

Since 1963, Multistar has accumulated over 60 years of experience in manufacturing various speakers and PA (Public Address) systems and electronic parts and products…etc. With decades of expertise and a strong foundation built upon long-term partnerships with clients, we have developed a solid reputation for reliability and excellence.

 

Multistar is certified with ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management, demonstrating our commitment to both product excellence and sustainable practices. Many of the products manufactured in our facility have also earned EN54-24, UL and MED certifications, further proving our capability and compliance with international standards.
